There are some rules
to follow so that
everyone can have
a great time at karaoke.

- Never get up and interfere with someone singing a song.

- Never start singing with someone singing a song.
Many people want to sing their song alone and don't want your help.

- Never yell in a microphone.

- Always sing directly into the microphone. If you hold the mike too
far away from you the KJ will turn up your mike and then you'll get
feedback. Always sing with the microphone aiming directly at your
mouth and back away about 2 inches.

- Never slap the microphone to see if its on.
That just blows out the speakers.
   Most folks just say "test"

- Always be polite and clap no matter how bad they might have been.
The object is the have fun and sometimes it takes lots of courage to get
up and sing a song in front of people. Show them a good time.

- Don't talk to the KJ while he is setting up people for the next song.
Wait till the person is setup and singing before asking for special favors.

- Don't ask the KJ to burn you a copy of a song. He paid money for
his/her discs and doesn't have an interest in making discs for you.
Also it's illegal to make copies of karaoke songs, there are copyrights.
